Carmichael Lynch Celebrates 55 Years as an Agency
Carmichael Lynch recently celebrated 55 years as an agency with its annual Founder’s Day celebration and O’Gong Show. Both events are a beloved part of the agency’s culture and have taken place annually since 1962, usually on St. Patrick’s Day.
This year’s festivities included an all-agency brunch event, a trivia competition, a lip-sync battle, and the awarding of the Leland T. Lynch Awards and the Founder’s Grant.
The Founder’s Grant is a $5,000 grant given annually to an employee who has a passion or idea outside of work they need help getting off the ground. Previous winning projects have included a video cooking blog, a paranormal web series, and a local mental wellness program.
This year’s Founder’s Grant went to Account Coordinator Clara Kohrs to help fund her organization HopeKits — a nonprofit she founded that provides necessities such as socks, hygienic products, snacks and other items to members of the local homeless population.
The Leland T. Lynch Awards honor the individuals who best exemplify the unique characteristics the agency’s co-founder Lee Lynch and the founding principles of Carmichael Lynch. The four award categories are Creativity, Collaboration, Leadership, and Humanitarianism. This year’s winners were:
- Creativity: Maria Erikson, Content Lab Manager/Photographer
- Collaboration: Melanie Callahan, Project Manager Supervisor
- Leadership: Erika Collins, Carmichael Lynch Relate Director of New Business
- Humanitarianism: Clara Kohrs, Carmichael Lynch Relate Account Coordinator
